In a nutshell

SNK is looking for a talented Senior Interface Designer (m/f/d) who is capable of transforming digital products into stunning Customer Experience without losing focus on Usability, Brand Experience, and Innovation.

The position of an Interface Designer (m/f/d) at SNK clearly focuses on creating outstanding human-centered visual designs for digital products. The work includes visual design, interaction design, and UX design across multiple touchpoints including web, digital products, and mobile. You will work side-by-side with our UX Designers to create innovative user interfaces.

Why is this position important for us?

At SNK we believe that an interface, no matter if it’s a website, app, or specialized application, serves not only a functional but also an aesthetic purpose. Only combining highly usable behavioral patterns with a branded look and feel will lead to a holistic customer experience that sparks joy.

So, what will you actually do?

As a Senior Interface Designer (m/f/d), you will work at exactly the tipping point of joy, spreading fairy dust over our interfaces without losing the focus on business and user goals. Create desirable experiences that are feasible to develop but viable for our clients.

You will create and lead mid and large-size design projects in our UX Team. In this role you’ll be involved in a lot of parts of the design process: Build a clear understanding of the user and business needs and transform this understanding in visual design directions. Develop human-centered interaction concepts and use prototyping to validate them, also from a technical feasibility point of view. Present your results to our clients, inspire them, prioritize outcomes, and guide and mentor other Designers within your projects.

We expect you to be capable to design tiny little details without losing the big picture out of sight at any stage of the project. You share our passion for state-of-the-art design, new tools, and technologies and you know what it takes to transform them into great experiences for our customers.

To sum that up without all the jabbering, your key activities include:

  • visual design
  • information architecture
  • interaction design
  • prototyping
  • structured thinking
  • solve complex problems
  • customer communication and presentation
  • innovation
  • design leadership

When you should NOT apply

We don’t need big egos. If you are not willing to jump in if a helping hand is required, you rather like to keep your knowledge to yourself and you are not motivated to stay up to date on the current state of design, please do not apply. Seriously.

What we expect from you

  • We don’t care about what you studied, your portfolio should be worth more than any certificate or diploma
  • 6-8+ years of experience in digital design
  • A portfolio that demonstrates deep level UX/ interaction and visual design experience
  • Expert knowledge of design tools (Figma, Sketch, Abstract, Zeplin, Invision, Adobe Suite, etc.)

  • Capability to understand the voice&tone of a brand’s design and being able to translate this into great digital product design
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills both within your team and with the client
  • Familiar with working in a fast-paced environment

What we offer you

  • A highly motivated team that does not save up its jokes, GIFs & photobomb skills
  • An honest and open feedback culture
  • We strongly believe not the hierarchy but the best argument is right
  • Freedom & perspective to grow yourself
  • A collaborative, welcoming & friendly atmosphere & communication
